This Cup's for You!

Ladies, ladies, ladies. Did you know, you're most likely wearing the wrong size bra? I had a pretty normal growth spurt, chest wise, every year in high school when I would go back to school shopping, I would go up a cup size, until I landed on a C cup. I was pretty sure I wasn't one of those people who was wearing the wrong size, I mean,  how hard is it to find something that fits on your chest? However, a few months ago, I had never been into Victoria's Secret before, then a friend and I were at the mall and she wanted to go in. I got sweet talked into getting a fitting while we were in the store. I went back, and it turns out I was supposed to be wearing a DD! How does one confuse a C for a DD? I will never know. But I recently bought two of the right size from Victoria Secret and it makes all the difference. Get fitted!

I got one similar to this color
Here are a few guidelines for you:
  • If your cups runneth over, it’s time to go up a cup size.
  • If your cups dimple, it’s time to go down a cup size.
  • If you have the dreaded back fat, you probably think your bra is too tight, but you’re wrong—  your bra is too big. Wearing the bra lower on your back with a smaller band size will completely eliminate the back fat.
  • If your strap falls down, that means your bra band is riding up and you probably need to go down a band size.
  • If you can see breast tissue being pushed out over the top of the cups, you need a larger cup size. All breast tissue should be contained with the cup of the bra.
  • If the bra band rides up in the back, you need a smaller band size.
  • If the center of your bra does not lie flat against your breast bone, then you need to buy a larger cup.
